UPHOLD GT from Wanne Eickel, Germany, formed as a project called BRUNTPUNCH in 1997.After several changes in lineup there was soon the decision to find a new name. UPHOLD was born.Later on, the ending “GT” made its place in the title and actually caused confusion because it seemed that there was no meaning in it. And by the way, there wasn’t. During the years UPHOLD GT played a huge number of amazing shows all over Germany before they finally split up in the summer of 2005 (The Summer Of Hate). But because hardcore-kids can’t give up what they love most, they often meet again for other projects and recording sessions in the YOUAREGAYSTUDIOS (Bochum) to hold on truly to that what counts so much….
